Kim and Kourtney Kardashian Recall Fashion Feud That Made Kim ‘So Embarrassed’

Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian will never let their fashion feuds come between their sisterly bond. 

On the Thursday, Feb. 27 episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians, fans got to see exactly how Kim, 44, smoothed things over with Kourtney, 45, after their Dolce & Gabbana drama — plus saw the siblings revisit the origin of their love-hate relationship with each other’s clothing.

During their Dolce & Gabbana x SKIMS shoot, Kim asked if anyone remembered when Kourtney stormed into her classroom to take back a pair of Levi jeans that Kim borrowed without permission.

“I was in sixth grade at a new school, I didn’t know anyone and I wanted to look really cool and fit in. And I borrowed Kourtney’s jeans that had these, like, cow patches on them,” Kim said.

The camera then switched to Kourtney, who was getting her hair and makeup done in a separate room, as she proceeded to tell her side.

“We called them the cow jeans, and they were vintage Levis,” the eldest Karsdashian sister explained.

Kim recalled how a “pissed” Kourtney, who was attending a different school at the time, then “barges in my classroom” before singling Kim out and ordering her to take the jeans off.

“And then [Kourtney] comes in with the lamest shorts and makes me change into them,” Kim said. “I was so embarrassed, and I have never gotten over what happened to me in sixth grade.”

Laughing at the thought of it all, Kourtney asked, “Is that why she brought me here? To get revenge on the jeans?”

Earlier in the scene, Kim assured fans that any arguments over clothing were only temporary.

“For anyone that thinks that we wouldn’t even be cool because we got into a fashion fight over what we wear is crazy,” the mogul said. “That’s what we were doing in elementary school.”

And Thursday’s episode wasn’t the first time the family shared the Levis’ story on their reality show.

Caitlyn Jenner also told Us Weekly in a 2010 article: “In high school, Kimberly stole some of Kourtney’s jeans from her closet. Kourtney walked into her classroom, and in front of everyone she said, ‘Kimberly has my jeans. I want them back!'”

Over the years, both the temporary blowouts (and the brands at the center of them) have gotten bigger. 

For Kourtney’s May 2022 wedding to Travis Barker, she wore a Dolce & Gabbana minidress for the Italian ceremony. The following summer, Kim partnered with the luxury brand, leaving Kourtney to cry over Kim “copying” her wedding with her “business deal.”

Thursday’s episode showed Kim asking her sister to star in the new Dolce & Gabbana x SKIMS campaign with her.
