‘The Chosen’ Season 5 Theatrical Release Schedule—Here’s How To Buy Tickets

The wait is nearly over. Season 5 of The Chosen is hitting theaters soon, with episodes rolling out in multipe parts just like last season. Read on to see the full release schedule so you don’t miss your chance to see it on the big screen (and IMAX for some episodes!).

Season 5 of The Chosen, titled The Chosen: The Last Supper, unfolds during Holy Week leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Following the events of Season 4, where Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, the Sanhedrin and the High Priest are now plotting to hand Him over to the Romans for execution. This season will depict pivotal moments, including the Last Supper—Jesus’ final meal with His disciples—and the Garden of Gethsemane, where He is betrayed and arrested.

“The table is set. The people of Israel welcome Jesus as king while his disciples anticipate his crowning. But—instead of confronting Rome—he turns the tables on the Jewish religious festival,” the official synopsis reads. “Their power threatened, the country’s religious and political leaders will go to any length to ensure this Passover meal is Jesus’ last.”

The entire Season 4 cast of The Chosen will return for the next installment, including Jonathan Roumie as Jesus Christ, Shahar Isaac as Simon Peter, Elizabeth Tabish as Mary Magdalene, Paras Patel as Matthew, Noah James as Andrew, George H. Xanthis as John, Abe Bueno-Jallad as Big James, and more.

What Is The Chosen Season 5 Release Schedule?

During a YouTube livestream on Feb. 16, creator Dallas Jenkins revealed the full release schedule for The Chosen: The Last Supper. The first two episodes in Part One will be released on Friday, March 28, followed by Part Two one week later and Part Three the week after that. Check out the full release schedule below.

Part 1

• Episodes 1 and 2: March 28, 2025 – April 20, 2025 (also available in IMAX)

Part 2

• Episodes 3, 4 and 5: April 4, 2025 – April 20, 2025

Part 3

• Episodes 6, 7, and 8: April 11 – April 20, 2025

Jenkins shared during the livestream that if fans miss a week, they can catch up or binge the entire season on Palm Sunday and Easter weekend.

When Will The Chosen Season 5 Be Streaming?

After its theatrical run, The Chosen Season 5 will exclusively be streaming on Amazon’s Prime Video this June. (The exact streaming release date has yet to be announced.)

Prime Video will also take over exclusive U.S. streaming rights to the first five seasons of The Chosen and future seasons of the series, according to Variety. Outside of the U.S., The Chosen will also be available, on a non-exclusive basis, on Prime Video in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Sub-Saharan Africa, UK, and Latin America later.

During the livestream, Jenkins assured viewers who previously donated to Season 5 that they’ll be able to watch the new season on Prime alongside everyone else. He added that the Come and See Foundation will email donors with further details.
